Lucky you - the last time the Burmese people tried that, 10,000 of them were killed.

What are you doing Wednesday night at 7PM? How about coming to the Collins-Edmondson Coffeehouse to see a movie?

Come see the film Beyond Rangoon to learn about Burma's long struggle for freedom against its brutal military dictatorship. Starring Patricia Arquette, the film depicts the struggle through the eyes of an American tourist, and what she experiences is truly heartwrenching. We, as Americans imbued with so many advantages, cannot sit idly by while millions suffer - this film will open your eyes to just a portion of the repression that we need to do everything in our power to stop.

Dr. Ro Ding, a member of the Burmese government-in-exile, will accompany the movie with a short talk on current events in Burma and how badly his people need American aid.

Students for Global Democracy is sponsoring the film. We're a group that believes the world can be made into a much better place if the remaining dictatorships in this world are brought to their knees through nonviolent activism. It is every human's basic right to determine his own future - we simply help to remove the blockades to self-determination. Join us today and make the world a better place.
